Community Doula Perioperative Education

This class is designed to prepare community doulas for supporting birthing patients in the operating room during cesarean births. Participants will gain an understanding of the OR environment, surgical team roles, sterile field principles, communication techniques, and best practices for providing emotional, physical, and advocacy support while maintaining patient safety. The course will help doulas confidently navigate the operating room setting and enhance the birth experience for patients and families undergoing cesarean delivery.
